Meet Dr. Patwardhan
Dr. Mugdha Patwardhan was originally born in New Jersey and has lived in Southern California for most of her life. Her parents are both in the healthcare field, so she was exposed to it at an early age. She loves science and has always felt comfortable with health care, so she knew that becoming an oral surgeon was a natural fit.
Dr. Patwardhan wants her patients to feel confident that they’ve received outstanding treatment. Her primary goal is to help others and she feels very accomplished when a patient walks away after receiving great care. She loves being a part of the 7x7 team because the staff is efficient, proactive, and all have a passion for what they’re doing.
Education & residency
Dr. Patwardhan completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at UC Riverside in 1995. She spent a year as a researcher in genetics studying transpositional elements and recombinant DNA technology. She then completed a Master’s degree in public health at UCLA as an epidemiology major. Dr. Patwardhan attended dental school at USC School of Dentistry and was a member of the Psi Omega dental fraternity and participated in the USC Mobile Dental Clinic community outreach program. She completed her residency while simultaneously attending medical school at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia in New York City.
